Rush Research Portal

Text Block

The Rush Research Portal (RRP) is Rush’s internal electronic research workspace which houses important information, forms, and documents related to the conduct of research at Rush. The RRP streamlines the submission, review and approval process for research studies and manages aspects of the protocol lifecycle including:

  • Biohazard Committee
  • Conflict of Interest (COI) Disclosures
  • Contracts
  • Grants
  • Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC)
  • Institutional Review Board (IRB)
  • Radiation Safety Committee
  • Subawards

The RRP interfaces with other Rush systems such as Epic, OnCore, and LINK. All new studies must be submitted electronically through the RRP.

Contact Us

The RRP is supported by Research IS. Users with questions regarding the RRP should email RRP@rush.edu.

The RRP Personnel is remote, Monday – Friday; 8AM – 5:00PM.

Registration and Information

New staff involved in research must attend RRP Training to obtain an RRP login ID and fully access the RRP. Training is a live Webex screen share where students learn how to navigate the RRP system. Explanations of system functions are also provided such as creating new projects and performing required activities on submitted projects under review.

RRP training is offered every Friday from 11 am to 12 pm. Training is conducted alongside the mandatory Office of Research Compliance (ORC) onboarding, each lasting one hour. To self-register on the Learning Hub, search for the "Research Compliance Onboarding and Research Portal Training" course.
